<div class="MsoNormal">My 2nd trip to Jakarta – Bandung this time is very much fruitful. Alhamdulillah I managed to buy materials for my solemization ceremony, malam ambilan, bought ready-made gorgeous Indonesian kebaya for I don’t know what ceremony yet! I HAD to buy because it’s so beautiful! I might just put it up for rent too. Bought a lot of laces too for upcoming bestfriends wedding function. Seriously, if you go to BANDUNG! It’s a MUST to go to Pasar Baru (for the ladies). We went there twice, our 2nd trip to Pasar baru were without the guys. We dump them to the factory outlet stores whilst we enjoy the no nagging and all girls shopping spree. </div><div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;">We just HAD to go there again because I just knew that there’s this lace selling for BND$9.00 for 2.5 meter! Cheap kan.. mana nda boleh jadi gila d sana.. I bought my very much bling crown there for less than BND$100! Sini kalau sewa nyacah $100.00 kan.. bought layah is what you called them? The one that settles on your tudong metal bling flower for about BND$60.00! Mana nda siuk tu kan!? </div><div class="MsoNormal"><br />
</div><div class="MsoNormal">I even have thoughts of opening up a mini bridal boutique after I get married.. reasons? Almost ALL my attire are custom made, I bought crowns and layah, I bought this so gorgeous Indonesian kebaya, I have hantaran trays for 24 dulangs, I have bling bling shoes to match with each of the attire and I have good potential to be a wedding planner! </div><div class="MsoNormal"><br />

I was considered lucky to get cheap shipment to Pontianak, Indonesia because the shipping company situated just at the back of Mangga Dua, Jakarta only ships around Indonesia so I had to seek help from family friend to use their address in Pontianak for shipping. So from Pontianak I had to pay someone to bring the doorgifts to Miri,Sarawak then my parents collected from there. </div><div class="MsoNormal"><br />
</div><div class="MsoNormal">HAPPY & SORTED! So kirakan bebaloi lah my doorgifts nda semahal I expected it would total up to be. <br />
Bare with my super duper long post.. update jua banar bah ahh on progress.. <br />
<br />
</div><div class="MsoNormal">Time passes so quickly without even realizing we’re nearly on the middle of March! Less than 7 months! I’ve been busy helping out my best friend wedding preps so I set aside my preps. I’m pretty much confident now that I have few items out of the list leaving me some bits and pieces. </div><div class="MsoNormal"><br />
</div><div class="MsoNormal"><b>Venue:</b> Alhamdulillah, I’ve made a deposit to block the date. The manager offered me a new set of pricing i.e. $3 extra for each person i.e. $3.00x 1000 = $3,000! Freaking $3,000 is a lot! But I had to query back since I made the booking last year. Initial plan was to pay the deposit early but the manager went off for a long break so it’s not my fault right? Anyway, VENUE IS CONFIRMED! </div><div class="MsoNormal"><br />
</div><div class="MsoNormal"><b>Wedding Dais</b>: So far I only liked two vendors out of the five recommended ones. I went for a consult at the vendor sometime last year or sometime in January. Received the quotation too and reasonable since the caterer & venue covered $600 of the pelamin cost. I just have to add few hundreds to get the dream pelamin and few more hundreds for pelamin at home. I did go to other vendors but I don’t have that “click” relationship with them so I settled with this particular vendor. The other half pelamin is also under the same vendor for easy transaction and communication. I feel it’s more convenient that way. What I love about this vendor? This person is so good and friendly; they have nice fake flowers and original design. Gave me good discounts too and packages! Eheee =) WEDDING DAIS CONFIRMED! </div><div class="MsoNormal"><br />
</div><div class="MsoNormal"><b>Sanding & Berbedak Door gifts: </b>Done and ready for collection. Contacted the vendors in Jakarta and everything is complete that includes the door gifts for the Majlis Malam Berbedak. Its confirm that I’ll be going to Jakarta in 2 weeks time to collect them and sort our the shipment from there. I contacted my friend to check and probably sort out the shipment soon but he told me not to worry since my wedding will be in October! Long time lagi~ hehe</div><div class="MsoNormal"><br />
</div><div class="MsoNormal"><b>Photographer: </b>This is such a relief~ Paid my photographer full and noting left. I just love staggering payment or do the month-to-month thing. Didn’t realize that you finished everything months before you’re wedding. </div><div class="MsoNormal"><br />
</div><div class="MsoNormal"><b>Videographer:</b> Deposit half the amount leaving me to pay half upon completion of the video. </div><div class="MsoNormal"><br />
</div><div class="MsoNormal"><b>Make up Artist</b>: Done too. Though I need to reconfirm with them just in case they lost the bookings and everything. Scares the hell out of me when I met one of the MUA at my friend wedding who will be doing my Nikah asking me “Eh adakan?” So yea, need to double triple confirm with all of them! </div><div class="MsoNormal"><br />
</div><div class="MsoNormal"><b>Majlis Muleh 3 Hari Attire</b>: I received some recommendation by few friends that Aaliyah Asmara Boutique in KB makes the best Indonesia kebaya. So I went there, made an appointment to seek for consultation on the fully beaded lace I bought in Jakarta last December. Deborah; the manager emailed me recommend design sketches with quiet reasonable price too. Well I did some research beforehand contacting few Indonesian designers I know asking for a quote. But rethinking that I need to spend few hundreds to buy a ticket there to collect and the hassle to book hotel set a new budget for another Jakarta trip just balances out the cost making one in Aaliyah Asmara. Traveling to Kuala Belait isn’t as far compared to traveling to Jakarta; to go for frequent fittings will also be easier. I’m still thinking of making my solemnization attire at AA but I need to get the perfect fabric or lace in Jakarta soon! </div><div class="MsoNormal">Wedding Attire: Technically had the appointment end of January but we delayed it to maybe after the Jakarta trip. We decided on the colors already so no more color searching and arguing. Deal with this next month of sometime in June.</div><div class="MsoNormal"><br />
</div><div class="MsoNormal"><b>Invitation</b>: I am yet to visit another company that I heard made cheap invitations but I have one flagged already since they gave me a very good package deal. Will deal with all this like 3-5 months before the wedding. Now is still early. </div><div class="MsoNormal"><br />
</div><div class="MsoNormal"><b>Tents:</b> I haven’t follow up with this one and only company yet. They promised to visit my house last time but maybe she’s extremely busy and forgot all about it. Need to get the new pricing with them soon.</div><div class="MsoNormal"><br />
</div><div class="MsoNormal"><b>DIY Projects:</b> Corsage? Not yet. Haven’t think about it. Guest book? Not yet. Bought the materials, paper but no initiative to start yet. My one and only flowergirl flower? Half way done and still hanging unfinished. </div><div class="MsoNormal"><br />
</div><div class="MsoNormal"><b>The Hantaran</b>: This is so exciting because we’re almost there! Alhamdulillah! </div><div class="MsoNormal"><br />
</div><div class="MsoNormal">It is agreed that we’re going for the 15-15 dulang. I wish we could go 7-7 but that’s just impossible.</div><div class="MsoNormal"><br />

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">The International Mini Wedding Expo</td></tr>
</tbody></table><div><br />
</div>The so called "International" wedding fair is overrated by the media's. Remember years ago there's this wedding exhibition held at the mall where vendors from Malaysia, Singapore and all over came to promote their business with photographers, bridal boutiques and all. It was the boom because I still remember up till now about it. This? Sadly there's only few.. Only two photographer participants from Taiwan/ Singapore "Blue Bay Wedding" and "The Feline Bridal" from Singapore. Forever blooms is handcrafted clay floral flowers also from Singapore. Weirdly; carpets from Iran (?) and bridal arch, some vendors promoting their door gifts. <div><br />
</div><div>I wish that they will think about something BIG.. you know how wedding in Brunei happens like every sunday or saturday night. It will be great that ALL bridal boutiques in Brunei participate. In that way people know the bridal boutique exist. Promote their business! That goes the same to photographers, not only the professional ones but also those newly established business. All the pelamin vendors, gather all the make up artist in Brunei, the designers (?), Florist, Catering, Tents... I'm sure it'll turn to something big and helpful for all the bride to be too. </div><div><br />
</div><div>Anyhow, despite that small international exhibition.. I got hooked up by one photographer with the packages they offered. It's from the feline bridal in Singapore. They have this tempting package that offers a pre-wedding shoot for $1888! The usual price is $2988. The package includes an outdoor transport, make up and hair do for bride and groom, hand bouquet, free usage of wedding accessories, up to three changes of attire for both, 20 pages of 15'R storyboard album, 20 pages mini album, 1 choice of bed top canvas, and 1 table top like 8R size and dvd copy of the photos taken. The package also include a 3D2N hotel! Tempting right? So we discuss with the lady in charge on the deposit and all, they asked for a minimum $50 deposit to lock the package price. The great thing about it was.. we have like 5 years to do that wedding photo shoot. So even after our wedding we can go to singapore and get photographed with the package we deposited. Without thinking any further, we (me and my girls who's getting married soon too) sealed the deal on the spot because we were tempted with the idea of taking photographs around singapore. Raffles Place, Marina Bay Sands etc. </div><div><br />
</div><div>Came home... I did some google research about this Feline Bridal... and... I'm left now worried. Read some bad reviews about Feline Bridal and the service they will give when we came there and many more reviews. Sigh. I think we rushed into things but I'm trying now to stay calm and positive. Told the fiance on the package I just sealed with and he suggested we do the photo shoot after the wedding when money is no longer tight and no restriction in photo taking ehee. Good idea! So it'll be sometime in December i guess.. *fingers cross*</div><div><br />
</div><div>So far updates on my wedding preparation is currently nil. I haven't even complete the pomander ball yet because Hokko ran out of that particular flower *pfft* I haven't even start DIY-ing my proposed guest book yet, I also planned on DIY-ing family corsages but I'm slacking.. I contacted my door gift vendors in Jakarta and it'll be completed sometime around 25th February in time for me to arranged the shipment on my march trip to Jakarta. </div><div><br />

</div><div class="MsoNormal"><br />
</div><div class="MsoNormal">YES! The kind used for cooking pasta and the oil that you dip crusty bread. </div><div class="MsoNormal"><br />
</div><div class="MsoNormal">So I stumble across a blogger I forgot whom about extra virgin olive oil as <b>A MAKEUP REMOVER</b>! </div><div class="MsoNormal"><br />
</div><div class="MsoNormal">Me being so curious and loving the fact that using something pure for the face, I tried it few times already with heavy make up and light make up. The results? Marvelous! I must say it is one the best natural makeup remover I found. I’m not the type that use makeup removers excessively, unless I padded on heavy make up and foundation but I usually use Estee Lauder make up remover or Stage after party make up remover. I’m not very picky and particular as long as it can wipe out the entire make up leaving my skin healthy is fine. </div><div class="MsoNormal"><br />
</div><div class="MsoNormal">I bought a bottle of Extra Virgin Olive oil, the ones that you can get in supermarkets. Dapped the cotton pad with the oil and I used it directly to my face, it quickly removed all my make up though, it took a little longer to remove the waterproof eyeliner, but it came off eventually. Yes, my face got oily and sticky but it didn’t bother me much. Then I tried to use the Estee lauder makes up remover just to spot check if the oil is doing justice, and YES! It did. No make up residue left in the cotton pad. Then I washed my face with the face wash I’m using, left my skin softer compared too usual and moisturized. </div><div class="MsoNormal">Anyhow, with the power of google, I search for the nutrients, searched for reviews about extra virgin olive oil. Magnificent! This Extra Virgin Olive Oil do wonders to absolutely everything. Well we all know that olive oil is the best oil and most healthy but what it did to the skin? Got to love it. </div><div class="MsoNormal"><br />

I bought the styrofoam to big and the roses were insufficient to cover half of it. <div><br />
</div><div>I'm too lazy to go to hokko with due to payday and many reckless crazy drivers on the road so I will go there sometime next week to commence back where I left of. </div><div><br />
</div><div>If I'm not mistaken it was last two weeks that me and my girls went to visit two wedding boutiques to search for the perfect color to wear on our sanding day. We all went with our fiance to get their opinions and what color suits them best and we girls went together to prevent any color clashes. The first boutique we went was in Kiulap. Load of varieties of songket to choose from and what i like about it this boutique, it's arranged accordingly to colors. However, we had a small argument there with the person in charge and cancelled out that boutique. We're now down to two choices. Then we went to the well known boutique in Mabohai, all of us came out happy and content. =) I found the perfect color for our morning reception ceremony and booked the songket for further discussion with the personals. </div><div><br />
</div><div>Then the wedding preparation just stop there. Last week I did not even flick through my wedding book, did not go to google and search for inspiration. Noting. Just blog hopping on brides to be blogs. </div><div><br />
</div><div>Eh wait, well I did a little. I went to Miri, Sarawak on Sunday and bought flowers for the decoration on my guest book corner. I hope the "guest book" corner will be utilize efficiently because you know our culture don't really get the "write down a note for the bride and groom" bit. Well, that's not the point, i went to Miri in search for the Foam flower roses. Cinta, situated at Mega Hotel do sell foam rose flower but it's not what i expect, noting near to what i bought in Hokko nor what <a href="http://wedding-tiara.blogspot.com/">Wedding Tiara</a> bought in Sabah. Set aside those foam flowers, they do sell very nice artificial flowers too, lilies look great and real. Trays? saw this new arrival trays which i assume is the "in" thing now selling for RM$65.30 each. I will update on the picture soon after I sync my phone. But damn, that's expensive for a tray. At Miri, me and the other half went and browse for bedroom sets, mattress and lighting. Love some, hate few so we will decide along this few months either to execute the plan or continue searching. </div><div><br />
</div><div>I'm cutting some slack with this wedding preparation simply because it has caused a lot of stress to me. I'm not the only one feeling it but my girls too. Thinking about the planning process, the financial issues.. yea talk about how expensive wedding nowadays are got into us madly! To a point where I told the other half, "Can we not talk about wedding?" and Alhamdulillah, I feel better and at ease. 9 more months to go and out of that 9 months I don't wish to talk about wedding everyday right.. there will be at least a week or two that sums up to around 1 month you've got to cut some slack. I'm not sure if other brides to be is feeling the same way like I do. I'm as excited as all the brides to be too. We all want our wedding to be near perfect right? </div><div><br />
</div><div>I'll stop my ranting. </div><div><br />
</div><div>Wishing all the chinese our there Gong Xi Fa Chai! Happy Wabbit New Year =) and have a lovely holiday. </div>Miss Inazahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04511196390500744056noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1251631030641276712.post-36323718189073883852011-01-21T21:26:00.000+08:002011-01-21T21:26:10.290+08:00DIY: Pomander RoseFirst of all Thank you so much to the feedback i received on the Artificial flower i.e the Foam Roses. I received overwhelmed response and I'm so grateful.. ='')<br />
<br />
So as Cinta mentioned that Hokko sell the foam roses, i went to visit there today and have a peek to Hokko pricing and all.. i found out how much the trays were sold at hokko and I'm not sure if that's cheap or pricy. Tempted to buy since it's 3 for BND$28.00 but you know how trend goes over the months... I'm afraid by the time my wedding on October this will be outdated.. so i hold my patience on that..<br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgIeglvo3vrf5yZ4X-AZZe567Hi6ubXCu3bVNd2mS0ylxB6hCHAMyhrHSYdUPPoMQ3wdRSBH-tDrkh-JOMU3yDO_MzOqA-vMv35yOCc89UFk9dc65m4emmX2xu_evjNmwx5ahV1K7mUttM/s1600/IMG_4612.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgIeglvo3vrf5yZ4X-AZZe567Hi6ubXCu3bVNd2mS0ylxB6hCHAMyhrHSYdUPPoMQ3wdRSBH-tDrkh-JOMU3yDO_MzOqA-vMv35yOCc89UFk9dc65m4emmX2xu_evjNmwx5ahV1K7mUttM/s320/IMG_4612.JPG" width="238" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Trays sold at Hokko. 3 for BND28.00.</td></tr>
</tbody></table><br />
<div>So i did managed to get the foam roses for BND$7.00 after less. The original price was $7.90. One stalk of the white roses as shown in the picture only has 6 flowers of size approximately 2.5"diameter and the dark pink has 10 roses in one stalk of size approximately 1.7" diameter. Yes it is pricy compared to elsewhere.. imagine i have to DIY my hantaran and the other half 30 dulang all together.. how many flowers may i need? For sure BND$500 can fly so fast one.. </div><div><br />

Mission failed! I've been seeing a lot of hantaran decoration now a days used this kind of flower and since i'll be decorating my own hantaran for me and the other half, I need to purchase some artificial flowers. I'm searching for this kind... as shown in the picture below..<div><br />

It looks real and the texture pun nyaman, very soft and not silky. Sweet bah kan? *sigh* Di manaaa oh di manaa... </div><div><br />
</div><div>I also like this design for hantaran... *angan-angan* Lawa kan?? I'm wondering fresh flower or artificial tu? If it's artificial WOW! looks real lah... Or is it me? I can't really differentiate now.. i guess i've been staring the laptop for too long... </div><div><br />

I have to salute those brides that can pull of her own wedding preparations in such short time!<br />
<br />
I can't believe that my wedding will be this year! I kept mentioning at vendors, tailors, videographer that my wedding will be next year not realizing i am already in the "next year" i.e 2011! Less than a year to go for preparations and the other half is also starting to get the preparation vibes.<br />
<br />
Bride's to be.. whatever preparations that needs to be done.. the one most IMPORTANT thing i can't stress more is WEDDING DATES! because all the business deals is all about time! Alhamdulillah we decided on a date so bookings can be made pronto without any hiccups *i hope*<br />
<br />
For my <b>Make up Artist</b>, Alhamdulillah i've sealed the deal with few MUA as recommended by friends and family members. For my Akad Nikah & Hantar Berian is already booked! Leaving me two minor events for Berbedak Siang and Muleh 3 Hari..<br />
<br />
As for the search for <b>videographer</b>.. Thank you so much to <a href="http://withthismaskahwin.wordpress.com/">Dinda</a>. I've found the one i love and managed to contact the videographer, sealed the deal. Deposit will be done this sunday! I even recommend the videographer to my best friend and she even sealed the deal right away. Thank you again <a href="http://withthismaskahwin.wordpress.com/">dinda</a>.<br />
<br />
Videographer in brunei is still limited so i rely on dinda side toggle to search for one =)<br />

<li><a href="http://snowberry-gallery.blogspot.com/">Snowberry Studio</a></li>
<li><a href="http://rajuladli.smugmug.com/">Rajul Adli</a></li>
</ol><div>As for my <b>wedding attire,</b> I've bought textiles from Indonesia and will drop by the wedding bridal boutique soon when the other half goes on leave. =) </div><div><ul><li>Majlis Akad Nikah & Hantar Berian - Still pending probably in March Jakarta trip</li>
<li>Majlis Berbedak Siang - DONE! need to get quotation and send to tailor</li>
<li>Majlis Berbedak Malam - DONE! need to get quotation and send to tailor</li>
<li>Malam Berpacar - DONE! need to get quotation and send to tailor</li>
<li>Majlis Bersanding - NEED TO GO BRIDAL BOUTIQUE SOON! </li>
<li>Malam Ambil-Ambilan - Pending probably buy textiles in Jakarta Trip.</li>
<li>Muleh 3 Hari - DONE! need to get quotation and send to tailor</li>
</ul></div><div><br />
</div><div>As for my <b>shoes</b> that i'll be using on the events... ALL DONE! *lol* See, this is the FIRST thing that is completed! Shoes! Alahai just when i thought that i won't purchase any shoes... well i did... 4 pairs to be exact! i have a total of 7 new pairs of shoes waiting for the perfect time~ So no more shoe shopping or shoe testing or whatever goes along shoe fitting. I bet you ladies understand the love.. the feel when the shoe just fits perfectly and for not buying it? Is such a pity to see the shoe being display not having an owner yet.. hahaha </div><div><br />
</div><div>As for my <b>Doorgifts</b>... gahhh too much to talk about.. might talk about this when march comes along.. so many!!! </div><div><br />
</div><div>As for my <b>Wedding Invitation</b>... I'm still searching for a place in Brunei that offers considerable price. Yes you can call me Karit i.e Stingy. But I'm not spending more than B$1.00 for my wedding invites. I just feel it's such a waste to spend more than that when you know once your event is done, it will be thrown away to trash. Might as well use that money for something else worthy. Initial plan was to make the invitation in Jakarta. I even had the one that i love brought back with me BUT with the hassle of emailing, money transfers, the cost of ticket and all sorts. It sort of balances out don't you think so? Then had thought of making them in Malaysia but again, the excess baggage! </div><div><br />
</div><div>Eh macam macam lagi kan d buat ani eh.. kepisan! </div><div><br />
</div><div>Take care lovelies! <3</div>Miss Inazahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04511196390500744056noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1251631030641276712.post-23478800876176313312010-12-28T15:05:00.000+08:002010-12-28T15:05:44.355+08:00Videographer Anyone?I'm searching for affordable videographer for my Akad Nikah and Majlis Bersanding.. i know it's considered way early as my wedding will be nearly the end of next year... but i need to prepare early..<br />
<br />
I concentrate too much on photographers that i forgot all about videographer and now I'm still searching for one...<br />
<br />
I don't know much on videographers except two professional ones that is way beyond my budget.. *sigh*<br />
<br />
So anybody? Recommendations? Links?<br />
<br />

Btw, Thanks <a href="http://withthismaskahwin.wordpress.com/">dinda</a> for the great help! appreciate it so much *hugs*Miss Inazahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04511196390500744056noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1251631030641276712.post-89785766700021486832010-12-25T11:05:00.000+08:002010-12-25T11:05:19.992+08:00The BeautyAlhamdulillah I'm progressing smoothly... <div><br />
</div><div><b>Make up Artist </b></div><div><br />
</div><div>I have tons of recommendations from friends, relatives and from my blog hopping on make up artist, going through their portfolios, checking out their make up under different lightning and I have finalize all my make up artist. </div><div><br />
</div><div><b>Event 1:</b> Majlis Bebedak Siang - Still searching.. thinking of getting trials because it'll be a simple function noting over the top.</div><div><br />
</div><div><b>Event 2:</b> Majlis Akad Nikah & Hantar Berian - I try calling her but she ran out of credit.. text her but no reply... still no firm confirmation</div><div><br />
</div><div><b>Event 3:</b> Majlis Berbedak - BOOKED! =) </div><div><br />
</div><div><b>Event 4:</b> Majlis Berpacar - BOOKED! =) </div><div><br />
</div><div><b>Event 5:</b> Majlis Bersanding - BOOKED! =)</div><div><br />
</div><div><b>Event 6:</b> Majlis Ambil- Ambilan - BOOKED! =)</div><div><br />
</div><div><b>Event 7:</b> Muleh 3 Hari/7 Hari - Still pending because no confirm dates yet... </div><div><br />
</div><div>I know I am months ahead on my wedding day but to get the best make up artist is tough now a days.. you have to booked them at least 1 year ahead to fit comfortably in their schedule.. </div><div><br />
</div><div>Do feel free to contact me if you need any recommendations... =) I have a lot of Make Up Artist numbers with me.. It would be best to contact me personally for their numbers than me sharing it publicly because some make up artist wants their number to be privatize. </div><div><br />
</div><div><b>Photographers</b></div><div><b><br />
</b></div><div>I believe in moments, photographers being able to capture the moment of happiness in the bride & groom eye's, the family members, guest and etc. I love looking at artistic sharp moments that by just looking at one photograph can explain how the environment in the wedding look like. So hiring a professional photographer is not a waste. Pricy it will be but the I trust the output from it will be very rewarding. </div><div><br />
</div><div>My mom told me "It's once in a life time so no matter how expensive it is as long as it's beautiful and captured the moments" =) love my mom so much for being understanding and supporting! </div><div><br />
</div><div>So, i've finalize my photographer for THREE Major events paying slightly premium. The idea was to hire a professional photographer to cover the two events that has me and the other half in it. Because the output i.e the album will have two of us in it instead of me alone which will be boring.. </div><div><br />
</div><div>Alhamdulillah, I've paid the deposit for firm confirmation and date blocked for me on the three events. Paying by installment monthly with a handful amount and what's great about it that.. I'll finish paying them by April. Way ahead from my wedding date. Plus plus. <3 </div><div><br />
</div><div>For the minor single events such as Malam Berpacar, Malam Ambil-Ambilan & Muleh 3/7 Hari.. I have already a few top list photographers. Will have an appointment with them soon after the other half comes back from work. If I'm satisfied with their portfolio than i'll secure a deposit to block the following dates for the events. </div><div><br />
</div><div>I'll update more on my attire & doorgifts... attire that i'll be using for the following events.. fabrics bought for some major events.. leaving few things need to be done... and doorgifts.. sorted! Leaving a little more to do.. will update more on that soon? </div><div><br />
</div><div>Perhaps this would be my last entry for this year.. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><b><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: red;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: large;"><br />
</span></span></b></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: red;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: large;">Wishing EVERYONE a BLESSING HAPPY NEW YEAR 2011! </span></span></b></div><div><br />
</div><div>To the BRIDE TO BE in 2011! Say hello to your wedding year~ =) </div><div><br />
</div><div>To those tying the knot on new years day.. Selamat Menempuh Alam Perkahwinan and especially to Hazlynda.. Selamat Pengantin Baru <3 </div><div><br />

Blackberry phone is used widely here so those with blackberry handphones are a bonus! They have this special package, which I’m not sure of. </div><div class="MsoNormal">Okay, I can’t explain the exact feeling when I was at Pasar Baru but I can assure you that in Pasar Baru! LOADS and LOADS of varities to choose from. Say, your looking for the Kebaya Sulam? LOADS! Price wise? From high quality material ranging from $50/each to $20/each. Those nice sulam telekong, praying mat, the telekong that here in Brunei is selling for $100+.. there? Slash of half the price! Dirt cheap I tell you! You can get high quality stuff for the price of what you probably buy in Brunei of a low quality item. Seriously! No words can explain how I felt cheated too. Pasar Baru has like 8 floors full of good stuff!</div><div class="MsoNormal"><br />

Ibis Mangga Dua hotel is alright provided that your target is just buying souvenirs for wedding, invitations and sorts but Mangga Dua shops opens at 0900hrs and closes at 1830hrs. </tbody></table><div><br />
</div>The MOST vital issue is your wedding date! because everything revolves around it from venue, make up artist, photographers, videographers, pelamin, catering, tents etc. etc.<div><br />
</div><div><div>Discussion should also be made among your family and the other half family with acceptance to some close relative and never ever take account what distant relatives or friends views because what i understand and heard from past brides, accounting to people needs = you can never have your wedding because there will be hundreds or possible thousands of reasons for e.g. your relative neighbor son's is getting married sometime next year.. then there's "i'll be very busy at that month because its the peak hour at work" and loads of other reasons. That made you postponed and more like accounting to their needs but not them accounting to your needs. Besides, it's your wedding. </div></div><div><br />
</div><div>Sure i took account of my best friend's and friends wedding date to avoid any clashes of guest. Another thing is relatives who are like my first cousin who plan on getting married but, since we're only left two who is still single waiting to be hitch that is not a big issue to discuss. Holidays, will people be available by then? exam season? o levels? a levels? summer holiday? minor stuff that yes, can actually give a huge impact. For example, your cash flow. Say, you were saving for 18 months and on a tight budget, the next thing you know, your wedding is being fast forward 3 months early, Every month your saving is like around $2000... with that just 3 months i.e $6000 you could pay off your rent at the wedding boutique or your photographer. See the huge difference?</div><div><br />
</div><div>Anyhow, enough ranting. Alhamdulillah that my family and the other half family have discuss on our wedding date. We were asked to list out three options that we both preferred and comfortable with. My brother and sister in law being my advisor to maintain the date with reference to the available cash by then because I'm avoiding personal loans. The other half family understands and taking into account festive season, the starting of semesters in UK this and that. Fist option was middle of october towards the end october. Second was the 1st week of november. Third option was end november towards early december. We scrap off the second option because Hari Raya Aidiladha falls on probably the 6th November or 7th November. Risky i suppose. Then the third option is a little too far and very close to my best-friend's wedding, entrance for masters in UK is also past due by then. So we go along the first option! A balance! from rough discussion to have it on early november is being forwarded to end of october. No objection from both sides of the family and cash flow is safe!</div><div><br />
</div><div>So... InsyAllah.. badan sihat murah rezeki... OCTOBER 2011 it is... </div><div><br />
</div><div>You know at one point, this wedding thing is all about the money!! No money = no talk with vendors = no business with venues = no talk with photographers etc. banar inda? </div><div><br />
</div><div>I hope and i wish that there will be no amendment of dates. We tried our best to avoid that 11.11.11 date because we know everyone is going for that~ we sacrifice not having a beautiful date for our wedding~ just as long as we're married and both of us is happy. That's all that matters the most. </div><div><br />
</div><div>One of the reasons why I hope and wish there are no changes is simply because..</div><div><br />
</div><div>I've booked the venue+catering for my reception.. Alhamdulillah they still have slot for october. Deposit to be made next month and by then, i have a promised venue and catering. </div><div><br />
</div><div>I'll start on the MUA soon, still browsing.. </div><div>Photographers will be after my Jakarta Shopping Spree.. </div><div><br />
</div><div>My fiance told me... </div><div><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>Times wait for no one.. </b></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b><br />
</b></div><div><br />
</div><div>Banar jua tu ah.. mun kan mensatisfy orang lain punya needs..anak si atu lah kan kawin jua... sibuk kraja lah.. peak time lah.. this and that... tani pun inda kawin sampai bila bila.. Now just let them sync with you and not you sync with them... agree? </div><div><br />
</div><div>And also one thing.. about times wait for no one.. if you take this discussion of date lightly... and if you decide to have your wedding elsewhere apart from your home would be so hard and stressful because searching for the perfect place that can fit the perfect invitation is hard~ then your MUA might also have other clients to attend, your vendors, your caterings~ ALL ABOUT TIME! </div><div><br />

<br />
Our wedding could probably be sometime in August or September..<br />
<br />
*gasp*<br />
<br />
not that i've made reservations on venue, make up or photographers but...<br />
<br />
AUGUST?! SEPTEMBER?!<br />
<br />
Reasons? So that the other half only sister can attend the wedding.. Since summer holiday in UK is usually from June-July-August and september is usually the times for farewells. July would be her graduation and we're planning on going there next year in time for the summer sales too. August would be really rushing. Early September? Oh well, i can't argue much on it and just probably agree on it to be fair and understanding.. give and take. but..<br />
<br />
*sigh*<br />
<br />
my cash flow pun not enough yet by that time.. which means...<br />
<br />
I NEED TO SAVE MORE!<br />
<br />
Then there's this indonesia shopping trip expenses that i've increased my budget to extra 30% because i know and assure i'll go crazily shopping for other stuff too! I heard the long day dresses is dirt cheap and also cardigans! dugaan jua banar eh!<br />
<br />
*cries*<br />
<br />
Anyhow! I'm too stress thinking about this dates and stuff.. the parents of both sides will be discussing this next month before our Indonesia Wedding Getaway so that I'm able to custom made my door gifts and other stuff that requires engraving dates on the items!Miss Inazahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04511196390500744056noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1251631030641276712.post-83112468465111096952010-10-31T12:02:00.001+08:002010-10-31T12:04:36.854+08:00The Astronaut Wedding Presentation<object height="295" style="background-image: url(http://i2.ytimg.com/vi/uDeWpAYA65Y/hqdefault.jpg);" width="480"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/uDeWpAYA65Y?fs=1&hl=en_US"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/uDeWpAYA65Y?fs=1&hl=en_US" width="480" height="295" allowscriptaccess="never" allowfullscreen="true" wmode="transparent" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"></embed></object><br />

<div class="MsoNormal">My previous post was about Dark Purple Theme that is suited for evening reception and obviously, I have to think about what theme shall we pick for the morning reception i.e. Majlis Bersanding. Then someone drop me a suggestion on writing on green color theme.</div><div class="MsoNormal"><br />
</div><div class="MsoNormal">Coincidently, I was thinking on picking up green for the wedding reception except that I’m torn between choices of shades available! With the varieties available i even got mixed up with blue! *knocks head*</div><div class="MsoNormal"><br />
</div><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>

</div><div class="MsoNormal">Green, it is a very subtle color to choose because it will not necessarily fit into everyone. So the shades of green are very important. Green is fresh and warm! I do believe that choosing theme color for wedding reflects the character of the bride and groom too. I’m not sure how far would you agree me on this but couple of my friend told me, family members that I tend to choose bright vibrant colors compared to dark earth tone colors because of my character being lively, animated and bubbly. In my wardrobe I only have few dark shades attires and most of them comprises of green, red, shades of pink and white. I seldom splurge on dark purple or any dark colors. It all has to be bright and lively. Besides, color does play a little in your emotions too. On a day when you’re feeling down, you wear dark gloomy clothes, it will and do have an impact to your emotions too, you tend to sulk and pampered that gloomy feeling. However, when you wear bright color, it will get out the positive aura in you. Anyhow, not sure how far you agree with me on this but I believe in it quiet a bit. </div><div class="MsoNormal"><br />

</div><div class="MsoNormal">I guess we don’t really have to worry much when choosing green because, green is a natural color and fits to ABSOLUTELY ANY! Pink? Red? Silver? Black? White? Suites all. <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Times, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Imagine this.. Black Shimmering Beaded French Lace of black and hints of white with Deep Purple Silk Satin evening gown for an Evening reception.. </span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="line-height: 15px;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Times, 'Times New Roman', serif;">♥ You walk down the isle with the other half wearing a white suite with deep purple silk tie, hints of black thread sewn on his suite.. accompanied by bridesmaid having the contrast color of your gown, spot lights on you and there you are, walking elegantly in a deep purple shimmering evening gown. *dreams* </span></span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="line-height: 15px;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Times, 'Times New Roman', serif;">I've been thinking on what color of evening gown will be suitable, observing friends wedding on their color theme in the evening and as recommended by MOST of the bridal boutique; evening reception theme color is usually darker shades that brings out the brighter aura in the bride and groom. Usually blue will be the choice for some that includes my brother's wedding years ago, my friends; yes 3/5 of them choose blue for evening reception.. so no more blue.. </span></span><br />

<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Times, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="line-height: 15px;">It appeals to both masculine and feminine side and I bet the other half will not complain much since he likes pink too. Darker versions of color can also integrate with a Fairy Tale Wedding theme. Not that I want a fairy tale wedding unless I want to fork out thousands for it. But i want it to be simply elegant. </span></span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Times, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="line-height: 15px;"><br />
</span></span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Times, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="line-height: 15px;">Purple can be combined with pinks and green for the dramatic and stunning effect. I tell you, purple and pink fits in perfectly~ Just see the below picture! Hot!! Black will go on well and white too, even more elegant and classy. For a modern and contemporary; silver and chrome works well. </span></span><br />
